We will start at the famous Sharp Gate, where you will meet our guide with a yellow sign (the guide will be waiting at the gate on the Basilienu Street side!), and learn about the roots of Lithuanian culinary culture and how it has developed over the centuries at the crossroads of Europe. From here we head to our first tasting stop: an assortment of local cheeses that have been enjoyed for generations and reinterpreted for modern tastes.
On the way to the town hall, we will introduce you to the multicultural character of Vilnius - a city where Lithuanians, Poles, Jews, Germans and other nationalities met, traded, cooked and shared recipes that shaped the city's culinary tastes.
Then we will stop by a cozy local pub for a truly Lithuanian experience. Here you'll learn about pit mead, one of the oldest alcoholic drinks in Europe, and taste two varieties of it, paired with hearty snacks such as deli meats, dark rye bread and small fish appetizers.
Then we will go to one of the oldest surviving Lithuanian confectionery manufacturers! You'll get a sweet little surprise that combines modern craftsmanship with early 20th century flavors and local history.
Our tour ends at a local grocery store, where the shelves are stocked with Lithuanian products. Here you'll try some of our iconic desserts and be inspired to buy delicious souvenirs to take home.

What should you keep in mind before booking?
- The tour is conducted in the format of a one/two-bite tasting, so its goal is to introduce you to the varied tastes of our cuisine, so that after the tour your stomach is ready for a heartier dinner :)
- This Experience is designed for small groups (ideally up to 10 people) to ensure a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and meaningful interaction.
