Discover Belgium's world-famous beer culture on a 2.5-hour tour of Brussels. Expand your knowledge of beer and discover why Belgian brewing is recognized as a UNESCO treasure.

Full description

Belgium has been brewing the world’s finest beers since the 12th century (more than 1,000 varieties in total), and the local beer culture is so remarkable that in 2016, UNESCO added it to the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. During this 2.5-hour tour, you won’t just enjoy a few drinks—you’ll also discover what makes Belgian beer so special.
Your evening will begin at Scotts Bar, which opened in 2012 to combine traditional Belgian beer culture with a modern twist. Its list ranges from the most authentic Abbey beers to innovative local craft beers. The kitchen also serves food if you want to grab a snack along the way. Here you will taste the world famous Trappist ale while your guide tells its history of war, charity,

ministry and monks who brew some of the best beers on earth.

From there we'll walk to the Toone Theatre, a UNESCO-protected building prized for preserving the Brussels marionette theater tradition and home to one of the city's oldest and most colorful bars. Once you're comfortable, you can enjoy three beers, expertly selected by your guide, and listen to additional stories about
how this beer is produced, what makes it different and why Belgian beer is so famous for its strength.

Finally, you can optionally visit the legendary Delirium Cafe, listed in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest selection of beers on the planet. Once you've decided on your tastes on the tour, you can explore its 'village' of seven themed bars, open until the early hours.
Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll truly discover the world's greatest beer nation in a friendly atmosphere.

Please note: You must be 18 years or older to participate, so please bring a valid photo ID. We adhere to the rule of moderate alcohol consumption.

I was skeptical about “excursions for tourists,” but here everything is different. The guide is a true fan of his work and infected us with a love for Belgian beer. I learned how lambic differs from Flemish red, and why Belgians drink from different glasses. I recommend it to everyone!

I'm not a big beer drinker, but my husband convinced me to. In the end, I'm delighted! The tasting took place in a cozy pub in the center. I liked the cherry varieties (Kriek) the most. The atmosphere is friendly, no one is in a hurry. Now I understand why it is a cultural heritage.

A great way to spend an evening! We ordered an individual tasting. We tried 8 varieties, from lambics to strong quads. What I remember most was the taste of Belgian chocolate, which was served with dark varieties. The staff speaks English, everyone is very polite.
